Meteorology App and Game
Developing an educational meteorology app and game for children.


Project Objective: To develop a design system for a meteorology app and game, tailored to the needs and capabilities of children, providing a playful and educational experience.
Solution: The solution involved creating a comprehensive design system, including guidelines for space, layout, icons, color palette, typography, design components, and character design.

How to create an educational and engaging experience, introducing meteorological concepts in an accessible way for children aged 6 to 8?
Context:
Tasks Developed:
The project was developed as part of a specialization course in Interaction Design for Web and Games at the University of Porto. The goal was to create a meteorology app and game for children aged 6 to 8.
Conclusion:
Development of the style guide to ensure visual consistency, creation of wireframes and prototypes to test and iterate the design, and adaptation of the design to ensure responsiveness on mobile and desktop devices.

The implementation of the design system resulted in a more engaging and educational user experience for children. The successful integration of playful and educational elements provided a meaningful and rewarding experience, encouraging children's interest in meteorology.
